I took my 7th and 8th graders to this on Tuesday. Everyone from CDKC and the colleges and businesses with exhibits were awesome. They took the time to talk to my students, even though they weren't the high schoolers they were targeting. They talked to them at their level, not down to them. They saw the importance of getting the kids interested in and excited about their future now. One of the students whispered to me, as we were leaving, "I want to go to college." Earlier in the year, that same student told me no way was college in his/her future. And that is why we do what we do!
